Volunteering with us

Volunteers are the backbone of Renfrew & Area Seniors Home Support as they are involved in every aspect of the service. From the Board of Directors to service providers, to fundraisers, volunteers help to provide the leadership, programs and funds that support services for seniors and adults with disabilities in our community.

There are many reasons why people volunteer but most volunteers will tell you that they feel that they benefit just as much from their experiences as do the people they serve. If you have some time to give as a volunteer, why not contact us and start the application process today.

How to volunteer

  • Start the process by completing our application form and return by email to Volunteer Coordinator Nikki Rumbelow [email protected]
  • Students and individuals under 18 please complete the student application form
  • Paper copies of our application form are also available at our agency office.

Volunteer Testimonials

  • After retiring and moving to Renfrew, my husband and I wanted to give back to our new community. We both enjoy driving and meeting new people, so becoming drivers was the perfect fit. We quickly got to know the area and met so many wonderful people. We enjoy listening to their stories and learning the history of the area. Rita and Steve
  • Volunteering with Renfrew & Area Seniors’ Home Support has been the most wonderful experience that I have ever had. It brings me joy and happiness, a feeling of self-worth, also a feeling that I’m helping people, and it feels like a great accomplishment.

  • I have enjoyed my experience volunteering. In getting to know my friendly visiting client, I have made a forever friend, who I enjoy connecting with regularly. As I like to tell her, I benefit as much from our relationship as she does. Sherry
