SUMMER STUDENT POSITIONS AVAILABLE (2)
Renfrew and Area Seniors’ Home Support Inc. have positions available for two summer students for our Community Support Service Agency and Golden Age Activity Centre.
Reporting to the Administrative Assistant of Renfrew and Area Seniors’ Home Support Inc. and the Program Coordinator at our Golden Age Activity Centre, the summer student will assist with general office duties, planning, organizing, and facilitating of activity programs in accordance with member’s needs, social media, set up and tear down for events.
Qualifications:
- Comfortable interacting with seniors
- Written and oral communication skills
- Program planning and implementing experience is an asset
- Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Creative with good organizational skills
- Able to work with minimal supervision with other staff, volunteers and as part of a team
As this is a Canada Summer Jobs position, the candidate must be:
- Be between 15-30 years of age, at the start of the funded position
- a full-time student currently enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary institution
- Returning to school in the fall
- have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment
- Be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or someone to whom Refugee Status has been granted/conferred. (Please be advised that international students, and persons who are here in Canada on a work, youth, or visitor visa/permit are not eligible for the program.)
